Alongside a homely community and group activities, every resident is supported by a dedicated Key Worker who provides regular one-to-one care tailored to their individual needs and aspirations. Promoting independence is at the heart of everything we do, so residents are supported to develop everyday life skills and take an active role in their home environment.

Alcohol-Related Brain Damage is a condition caused by prolonged excessive alcohol consumption, resulting in physical and cognitive impairments. The brain damage impacts cognitive functions such as memory, attention and information processing, and can lead to difficulties with daily activities and communication. ARBD encompasses a spectrum of brain disorders, including Wernicke’s encephalopathy, Korsakoff’s syndrome and alcoholic dementia, each presenting with varying symptoms like confusion, memory loss and problems with coordination.

While some symptoms can improve with proper treatment and abstinence from alcohol, ARBD typically requires ongoing support to manage cognitive and physical challenges.
